Because of my work starting and building out a library translating desktop designs into mobile, Rooster Grin's leadership team offered me the opportunity to design a mobile app for our patient management system, Thread.
Since the desktop software is due for a resurfacing, the Thread team encouraged me to opt for a new style that will eventually be adopted by the desktop version as well. Considering Rooster Grin's business model and the demographic of our clients, I identified that the new style should:

Since developers built Thread feature by feature over years and only for desktop, many challenges were handled with evermore menus. My solutions for translating these choices into mobile while maintaining a parallel IA to the desktop experience included applying toggles, sorts and filters along with more engaging menus.

USABILITY TESTING
Along with the design, I wrote a testing manual recommending what and how to conduct usability testing specific to various design solutions with suggestions on how to improve any sections that might fail those tests.
